About the role

Immediate start for a Legal contracts Specialist to join a major global EPC at a critical phase of a multi billion Dollar construction resource project in Perth, Western Australia.

The role is a minimum 6 month term the opportunity but is very likely to extend due to the project deadline being pushed out.

What you'll be doing

Negotiating, drafting and reviewing complex commercial contracts and agreements

Drafting legal, reviewing and responding to legal letters from external stakeholders

Ensuring contract compliance and mitigating commercial risks

Providing expert advice and support to internal stakeholders on contractual matters

Developing and implementing contract management processes and systems

Monitoring contract performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes

Staying up-to-date with industry regulations, trends and best practices

What we're looking for

8+ years' experience as a Contracts Specialist or Commercial Contracts Manager, preferably within the power generation and distribution sector

Proven track record of drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of commercial contracts

Excellent understanding of contract law, risk management and commercial principles

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate contractual risks

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite

Tertiary qualification in Law, Business or a related field is highly desirable
