We operate 2 businesses and require an experienced bookkeeper and administration person to manage our book-keeping and administrative functions.
This is a contract role and we are seeking a highly organised, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and experienced all-rounder to utilise their initiative and skills.
Our office is located in Surfers Paradise, close to a tram stop, but free on-site parking is available.
Reporting to the Business Owners, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Accounts payable and receivable functions.
Ensure the timely preparation of month end financial duties and reports including profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheets.
Data entry, filing and record keeping
Maintaining personnel and other records
Ensuring policies and procedures are followed
Recommending and implementing new procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Managing enquiries and ensuring customer requests are answered in a timely manner
Induction of new personnel
Assisting with various projects and tasks as required
Provide support to Managers and other employees.
Assisting our personnel in handling incoming calls, emails, and general inquiries from clients and colleagues, and customer service
Drafting and editing documents and reports
General administration duties
Maintaining compliance documentation
To be the successful applicant you will require the following skills:
Proven experience in bookkeeping (including accounts payable, receivable, statutory requirements) and administrative duties
Experience in office administration and data entry
HR experience (induction, training, supervision, record-keeping)
Experience using QuickBooks On-Line (preferred)
Ability to prepare/present management reports.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Clear communication skills both written and verbal.
Attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality work
The ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload
Positive work ethic.
Self-motivated and willing to learn
Effective time management and the ability to work to a deadline
Happy to be a real team player and help out in all areas of the office
A positive, professional and approachable attitude
The position is open to those who are able to start within 14 days of submitting their resume.
To be successful in this role you must have at least 3 years' experience in a similar position, the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a professional manner and show a willingness to learn new skills and acquire new knowledge.
An ABN and National Police Clearance Certificate is required for the successful applicant.
