The Role

We are currently seeking one experienced Estimator (minimum 2 years' experience) to join our Estimating team based in Bunbury, Western Australia in a permanent full-time position.

Responsible for both Sales Estimating and Production Estimating for all new builds. This includes accurately interpreting plans and drawing to assemble the ‘Bill of Quantities’ and break down costs in a timely manner. Additionally, the role undertakes research of materials and liaises with suppliers to negotiate the best deals and supplier agreements. The role will be accountable for working closely with the Sales team and the Construction team, ensuring timely and ongoing communications to support the build process and achieve build targets.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Interpreting plans and documents to produce accurate costings for site works, house design modifications and variations in a timely manner.

Obtain quotes from suppliers and sub contractors for non standard works

Provide pricing support for the sales, pre-construction, and construction teams

Writing up house quotes and variations in Costing Manager

Reviewing estimating rates

To be considered for the role, you will have:

ESSENTIAL: Minimum 2 years Estimating experience within a WA building company

A desire to succeed and contribute to department growth

Sound construction knowledge

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Communicate effectively with staff and suppliers

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Computer literacy
