SWI Fencing is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join their team in Bayswater, Western Australia. As a full-time role, you will play a crucial part in the success of the company by providing accurate and competitive estimates for construction projects.

Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment costs

Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify all necessary components and accurately quantify required resources

Collaborate with the construction team to ensure estimates are aligned with project requirements and costs

Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of materials, labour, and equipment pricing

Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals, ensuring they are competitive and profitable

Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to the project management team

Participate in pre-construction meetings to clarify project details and address any estimating concerns

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in the fencing sector

Excellent understanding of construction materials, labour, and equipment pricing

Proficient in using estimating software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in project data

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams
