Staff Reflection:
“Since joining Parkerville Steiner College, I have felt re-energised as an educator. I am more attuned to the rhythm and flow of lessons, and I experience a renewed joy in planning learning sequences that allow deeper understanding to unfold.”
“The space we are given as teachers to explore Main Lesson topics in depth is inspiring. I wish every young person had the opportunity to learn this way.”
Who are We?
Parkerville Steiner College is a place where you can bring your whole self into the classroom and be part of an exceptional educational journey. Just 20 minutes from Midland, your drive to work will be against the traffic and into the stunning natural surrounds of the Perth Hills.
We offer a holistic and creative education that meets the developmental needs of young people and fosters trust and respect between staff and students. Our approach to maths teaching is structured but also emphasises human connection and artistry in teaching, moving away from reliance on technology and towards cultivating curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
Who are You?
You are a passionate teacher who brings warmth and expertise to the classroom. You spark curiosity, guide young people with clarity and purpose, and share a genuine love of discovery.
You are organised, imaginative, and open to engaging with the Steiner Curriculum, bringing Maths alive through creative approaches. You are rigorous in improving maths understanding and outcomes. You are not assessment driven but you are driven to engage students in a passion and interest for maths learning, right through year 12.
In our calm and respectful environment, where students are eager to learn and open to wonder, you are free to do what matters most: ignite imagination, nurture growth, and watch young minds flourish into their fullest potential.
Immersive Learning
The Main Lesson, unique to Steiner schools, is a two-hour morning block that allows students to immerse themselves in one topic over several weeks. Alongside Main Lessons, you will teach weekly Subject Lessons that focus on building strong foundational Maths skills.
Why Join Us?
Students are eager and a delight to teach, returning respect and interest with genuine engagement.
Staff are dedicated, good-natured, and focused on positive outcomes for young people.
Weekly pedagogical study is included in your FTE, supporting your professional growth and connection with colleagues.
Work in the beautiful Perth Hills, surrounded by nature.
Whether you are Steiner-trained or aligned with our values, we encourage you to apply.
