About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to join our thriving aquatic retail store, PASES Aqua Pty Ltd, in Cockburn Central, Western Australia. In this part-time role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our fish pond shop, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Store Manager in leading and motivating a team of passionate retail associates

Oversee the efficient management of store inventory, stock levels, and product placement

Provide outstanding customer service and share your extensive knowledge of aquatic products and fish care

Assist with the delivery of engaging in-store displays and promotions to drive sales

Contribute to the development and implementation of store-level strategies and initiatives

Ensure the store environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times

Support the Store Manager in achieving key performance targets and store objectives

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within the aquatic or pet supplies industry

Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide knowledgeable assistance to customers

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team

Proven track record of successfully driving sales and achieving key performance targets

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail

Passion for the aquatic industry and a genuine interest in fish care and pond maintenance

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
