Darwin Auto Mobile Care operates a modern mechanical workshop located just outside the CBD in Woolner. We also offer a Mobile Service for customers who are unable to bring their vehicles to us. Established in 1998, we are proudly Territory owned and operated, and a trusted dealer alternative for logbook servicing that maintains new car warranties.

We’re a close-knit, professional team that values respect, reliability, and a good sense of humour. We support each other, share knowledge, and take pride in delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive Technician with the following:

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent (typically via a 4-year apprenticeship).

Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, including 4WDs.

Hands-on experience in automotive air conditioning (AC) diagnostics and repairs is essential.

ARCtick accreditation (or willingness to obtain) is required for AC work.

Strong diagnostic skills using both manual and electronic tools.

Experience using modern diagnostic platforms such as Snap-on, Autel, and G Scan.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills adaptable to diverse backgrounds.

Familiarity with electronic stock control and invoicing systems.

Unrestricted NT C class driver's license.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Diagnose vehicle faults using manual and electronic methods.

Provide accurate estimates and quotes for repairs and services.

Ensure all jobs are documented with job cards and electronic invoices.

Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment, disposing of waste appropriately.

Manage stocktake of consumables using manual and electronic systems.

Mentor and support apprentices.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training.

Uphold work health and safety standards.

Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Darwin Auto Mobile Care.

Occasionally perform mobile service work using a company vehicle for clients unable to visit the workshop.
