Light vehicle or existing diesel mechanic looking for a change? Join an independent diesel specialist with great working conditions, top management and plenty of training. Great for someone looking to grow their skill set or work across both trucks and light vehicles!

Duties

• Trade qualification ESSENTIAL!
• Experience as a Diesel mechanic advantageous
• Experience on cars, 4WDs (SUVs), light & medium commercial vehicles of European, Japanese and Korean manufacturers
• Experience in a medium to large workshop in the automotive industry
• Friendly, attention to detail, dependable, thoroughness, effective verbal communication, motivated, team player, organised, self motivated, work autonomously

Skills and experience

• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
• Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, faulty parts
• Complete vehicle test drive after works completed
• Comply with manufacturers, federal and state vehicle requirements
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions
• Participate in educational opportunities
• Perform general tasks such as cleaning and maintaining of facilities and equipment
• Comply with all OHS and other workplace safety
