My client is a highly successful, ASX-listed food manufacturing business, well-established as a market leader in their category, with an exceptional reputation for quality, innovation, and customer relationships.

With major investment currently underway, the business is doubling its manufacturing and processing capacity, positioning itself to become the largest operator in its category globally. As part of this growth, a newly created opportunity has emerged for a commercially minded and experienced National Accounts & Business Development Manager to lead the Foodservice channel nationally.

This is a career-defining role for a high-performing foodservice professional looking to join a business on an exciting growth trajectory — with genuine long-term opportunities for advancement.

The Role:
Based in Melbourne, you’ll take responsibility for leading and expanding the Foodservice channel nationally, with a focus on both strategic account management and new business development. This includes managing established relationships and unlocking new opportunities across distribution and end-user segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow existing national relationships with major foodservice distributors.
  • Identify and onboard new independent distributors across all Australian states.
  • Build strong commercial partnerships with distributor buying groups and drive national alignment.
  • Drive business growth with major hospitality groups, MSOs, aged care, health care groups, and other key end-users.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across marketing, supply chain, and operations.
  • Deliver against commercial targets and long-term growth plans.
  • Interstate travel to support distributor and customer engagement.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong experience in foodservice national account management or business development, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of the Australian foodservice distributor landscape.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the drive to make things happen.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • National or multi-state sales experience for a agri food, protein or dairy manufacture is highly desired but not essential.
