The Opportunity
CliniKids is The Kids Research Institute Australia's first team integrating their world-class research with a clinical service. The CliniKids team is made up of experienced clinicians working alongside world-class researchers to put research into practice, working in facilities that are custom made for neurodiverse families.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a new Research Development Manager to drive strategic growth, funding, and partnerships for our COMPASS program - a Western Australia based national initiative supporting autistic children and their families through personalised navigation and support. This role will focus on expanding the program’s reach, securing sustainable funding, and positioning COMPASS for national and international impact.
Through collaboration with our wider CliniKids team, your duties in this role will include but not be limited to:
Identifying opportunities to expand COMPASS nationally and internationally.
Managing and developing partnerships with government, philanthropic organisations, professional bodies, and community stakeholders to co-develop initiatives and amplify program impact.
Identifying grant opportunities and philanthropic engagement.
Exploring scalable solutions for the Program such as training, accreditation, digital platforms, and assessment tools.
Conveniently located at our CliniKids site in Subiaco, this position will be offered on a full-time basis for a period of 2-years in the first instance, with the possibility of extension. Remote work may be considered for the right applicant.
About You
The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification or research development experience in the disability sector, and will possess the following:
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and work effectively in a complex and changing environment.
Experience in strategic planning, and the development and delivery on new processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for research funding and to support and coordinate the preparation of applications.
Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships.
