Gre8 provides a range of services in Logistics, Bakery, Employment Opportunities for SBAT’s (School Based Apprentices & Traineeships), a SLES (School Leavers Employment Service) program called Capable Me and Consulting services.

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Horticulture Supervisor to lead and mentor a team of School-Based Apprentices and Trainees (SBATs) in a supportive and inclusive outdoor work environment. This role blends hands-on horticultural expertise with a strong commitment to youth development and inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support SBATs in daily horticultural tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, and garden maintenance.

Deliver practical training aligned with SBAT learning outcomes and individual capabilities.

Adapt work tasks and communication styles to suit a range of learning needs and abilities.

Promote a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment that encourages skill development and confidence.

Collaborate with schools, and families to ensure alignment with educational and personal development goals.

Monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of training and achievements.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and accessibility standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in horticulture, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.

Proven ability to supervise and mentor young people, particularly those with disabilities.

Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.

Certificate II or higher in Horticulture (or equivalent experience).

Working with Children Check.
