Chippy's Outdoor, and its group of companies, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in Melbourne, Victoria. In this vital role, you will be responsible for:

Maintaining accurate financial records

Processing invoices

Payroll

Managing accounts payable and receivable

End of month reconciliations

Management reporting

ATO compliance

Bank reconciliations

Supporting the overall accounting functions of the business.

Office administration and retail support

Assistance with pricing and margins

Management of supply agreements

What you'll be doing:

Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices in a timely manner

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports

Undertake all payroll and associated functions within the business

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

Provide office administrative support to the wider team as needed

Collaborate with the wider business to provide financial information and advice

Identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness for the business

Supporting the office administration operation of the business

Managing client relationships as required.

What we're looking for:

Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Bookkeeping, or equivalent experience

Minimum 5 years experience as a Bookkeeper (registered BAS agent would be favourable)

Part time, onsite role (20 hours across 4-5 days)

Appropriate membership and accreditation with professional body (would be favourable)

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g. Xero)

Must have knowledge of General Journals, clearing accounts, loans, finance agreements, FBT etc.

Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
