The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Manager to join our team and oversee the end-to-end operations of our restaurant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail food environment and enjoys leading a team to deliver excellent customer service and strong business performance.
Key Responsibilities
As Retail Manager, you will:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including shopfront, takeaway, and online retail channels.
Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving, and storage to ensure availability of food, beverages, and packaging.
Supervise staff scheduling, shift allocation, and performance management to maintain efficient operations.
Train, coach, and develop team members to deliver high levels of customer service.
Drive sales growth through upselling, add-on sales, and implementing promotions or marketing initiatives.
Monitor KPIs, sales reports, and business performance to achieve financial targets.
Handle cash flow, banking, EFTPOS reconciliation, and maintain compliance with company financial policies.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards, health and hygiene regulations, and occupational health and safety requirements.
Maintain restaurant cleanliness, presentation, and visual merchandising in line with brand standards.
Address and resolve customer complaints or issues to maintain satisfaction and repeat business.
Implement cost control measures to improve profitability, including labour, wastage, and operational expenses.
Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to maintain strong business relationships and smooth supply chain management.
Ensure effective use of digital platforms (online ordering, delivery apps, and POS systems) to maximize efficiency.
Support business growth strategies by identifying process gaps and recommending improvements.
Required Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Retail, Business, or Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proven experience in retail, quick service restaurants, or hospitality management.
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong financial acumen and ability to manage KPIs and targets.
A proactive, hands-on approach to operations and compliance.
Salary & Benefits
Annual Salary: $76,515 plus superannuation.
