What We’re Looking For:

Trade Certification: Heavy Diesel, Hydraulics, Fitter, or Drill Fitter.

Experience in assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Basic knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical components.

Welding Knowledge:

Solid understanding of welding processes.

Flashbutt Welding experience is highly desirable.

Hands-On Experience:

Multi-year trade experience is preferred.

Experience in field-based manufacturing solutions.

Electrical assembly and maintenance skills for automotive or heavy machinery.

Core Responsibilities:

The key expectation for this role is to ensure the safe and correct operation of Flashbutt machines, prioritizing the reliability and quality of the welding units.

Maintenance Adherence: Follow planned maintenance schedules diligently and complete all assigned work in a timely manner.

Fault Recognition: Identify and report all faults and welding issues promptly.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring the machines performance for every weld to meet high-quality standards, recognizing issues or failures in the welding process.

Reporting: Provide daily reports on all activities, machine conditions, and any failures, detailing the failure modes.

Housekeeping: Maintain a high standard of machine cleanliness, upholding a schedule.

Equipment Condition: Ensure all Flashbutt support equipment, such as shears and quench rigs, are in good working order and used correctly.

Other Essentials:

A valid C-class driver’s license. (HR desirable)

Successful completion of a pre-employment medical.

RIIVEH305F-Operate and maintain a 4WD vehicle, CPPFES2005- Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment (desirable)
