The Opportunity:

We are seeking experienced Road Transport Mechanics to join the well-established team in the Northern Goldfields. This position will see you maintaining, servicing, and diagnosing issues with road trains and mobile plant equipment on an operational Gold mine.

Skills & Qualifications required:

Trade qualification as a Mechanic (Heavy Vehicle / Road Transport) or equivalent.

A valid driver’s license (preferably heavy vehicle).

Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing road transport vehicles (trucks, trailers, etc.).

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in heavy vehicles.

Experience with preventive maintenance and the ability to identify potential issues before they become critical.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and provide solutions to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

Perform regular maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, and other road transport equipment).

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all maintenance activities.

Work collaboratively with the team to manage vehicle downtime and ensure prompt return to service.

Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site mechanical support when needed.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.

Ability to work in a FIFO environment, adhering to strict safety and work standards.
