- implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
- monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories
- support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role
The Senior Manager, Communications leads the Communications and Engagement team, Digital and Creative team, and the Sector Information Services team. The position is responsible for leading, delivering and promoting internal and large-scale external communications, stakeholder engagement and customer relations on behalf of ACECQA to help educate, engage with and inform the children's education and care sector (via acecqa.gov.au), families (via startingblocks.gov.au) and the community about the National Quality Framework.
This role is full time and ongoing at ACECQA Band 8 (168,419 - $197,329).
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Knowledge and understanding of trends, issues and requirements for regulatory communications and intergovernmental relations/dynamics in a public sector environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience with strong experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of national/state communication functions.
- Significant experience in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement and communications strategies with clear outcomes.
- Experience in media and issues management, particularly within a government context.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including people management, negotiation, liaison and presentation abilities.
- Experience in leading teams responsible for providing advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Significant experience with web content management, eLearning systems and a sound understanding of quality online communication.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:
- Experience managing and integrating multiple social media platforms for an organisation.
