This reputable Local Council based in the Northern Sydney has recently opened an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Planner to join their team for an immediate start. he successful candidate will work within a high performing and collaborative team to communicate and promote relevant planning policies.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

In this role, you will report to the Coordinator Strategic Assessments, with a primary focus on preparing planning proposals for major precincts and engaging with key stakeholders to help shape a vibrant, attractive, and liveable city that the community values and enjoys.

DUTIES.

• Assessing and writing planning proposals
• Project manage major rezoning and master planning applications
• Liaise with the public to mediate and resolve conflict between major planning proposals
• Reviewing Government Policy to formulate submissions

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Degree in Urban/Town Planning or related
• Prior Local Government experience is preferred
• Strong foundation of knowledge in relation to planning proposals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
