About the role
This part-time Bistro Supervisor role at the Phillip Island RSL Sub-Branch in Cowes, VIC offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic hospitality team and contribute to the success of this established venue. As Bistro Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bistro, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient workflow.
What you'll be doing
Supervising and scheduling bistro staff to ensure smooth operations
Monitoring inventory, placing orders, and maintaining appropriate stock levels
Providing excellent customer service and resolving any customer issues or complaints
Ensuring that all food handling, health, and safety regulations are strictly adhered to
Supporting the Head Chef in menu planning, preparation, and presentation
Assisting with training and development of bistro staff
Maintaining accurate records and financial reporting
What we're looking for
Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role within a bustling bistro or restaurant environment
Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
Thorough understanding of food safety and liquor licensing regulations
Proficient in using POS systems and maintaining accurate financial records
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
A passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience
