Assist with the preparation and lodging of tax returns, BAS, FBT, and other statutory filings in accordance with NFP regulations.

Ensure compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements, including maintenance of DGR and charity registration status.

Monitor and apply relevant tax concessions and exemptions available to NFPs.

Assist in tax planning and strategy to maximize available benefits and reduce risk.

Maintain accurate records of tax-related transactions and documentation.

Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.

Support internal stakeholders with tax-related queries and training.

Assist with process uplift and implementation of new systems.

Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation affecting the NFP sector.

Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes, including tax reconciliations.

Help shape a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Be part of a high-performing, fun, and supportive team that loves what they do.

Please note, this is a full time, permanent position. Flexibility is important to us, and we know it is to you, too - this role supports hybrid working.

What you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in tax accounting, ideally within a professional firm or supporting NFPs.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Ability to influence others.

Commitment to the mission and values of the not-for-profit sector.

Experience with ACNC compliance and reporting is desirable.

Why you will love it here:

Working with us means stepping into a role that’s as broad as it is meaningful. You will gain exposure to:

Multiple industries under one roof - health, aged care, disability, community services, and more.

A wide range of workforce models, leadership styles, and organisational challenges.
