Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong firewall and security expertise to join their expanding and motivated team. The role will see you working extensively with Palo Alto firewalls (must-have), while also leveraging experience across Fortinet and broader networking technologies.

You’ll balance operational responsibilities with project delivery, supporting day-to-day BAU tickets as well as contributing to major transformations and migrations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain, and improve firewall and network security services across customer environments
• Work on BAU activities including admin changes, fault investigation, firmware upgrades, and escalation support (L3)
• Lead and contribute to firewall migrations, security transformations, and new project deployments
• Configure, implement, and support network and security devices including firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancers
• Ensure managed environments meet or exceed operational SLAs
• Provide input into the design, implementation, and continual improvement of secure technical solutions and services
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication across technical and business stakeholders

Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Senior Network Engineer with a strong focus on firewall and security
• Must-have: Hands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations)
• Additional experience with Fortinet firewalls highly desirable
• Broader background with Cisco routing, switching, and Meraki solutions
• IT qualifications in Networking and/or Security disciplines
• Experience providing L2/L3 support across network and security incidents
• Familiarity with automating routine IT processes
• A current driver’s licence for on-site travel and project rollouts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage confidently with customers and project stakeholders
