The Opportunity

Are you a passionate and dedicated HSIE teacher ready to inspire the next generation of

critical thinkers, historians, and global citizens. St Mark's College is seeking an exceptional

HSIE Teacher for a 12-month maternity leave contract to join our vibrant team in 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to:

 Teach engaging HSIE lessons across Years 7–10.

 Extend your expertise into Stage 6 courses (Business Studies, Economics, Legal

Studies or Studies of Religion).

 Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven professional team.

Key Responsibilities

 Innovate and Inspire: Deliver engaging, student-centred HSIE lessons aligned with

the NSW Curriculum.

 Assessment & Feedback: Provide constructive feedback that supports academic

growth.

 Beyond the Classroom: Engage in co-curricular programs, excursions, and school

events that enrich student learning.

Essential Criteria

 Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant HSIE field.

 NESA accreditation and commitment to professional growth.

 Current Working with Children Check.

 Strong knowledge of the NSW HSIE Curriculum.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Adaptability, patience, and creativity to meet diverse student needs.

 A practicing Christian who supports the mission and values of St Marks College.
