Academic Excellence with Character Development

Sathya Sai College is located on the NSW North Coast. We are a non-religious school that teaches a values-based education in conjunction with the NESA curriculum.

Our educational philosophy is based on integrating the five human values (love, truth, peace, right-conduct and non-violence) into all subject areas. We focus on a holistic education and students are encouraged to pursue both academic excellence and character development.

Applications are invited from teachers with experience and/or willingness to teach the following subjects for year 7 to year 12

ENGLISH, MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE and HSIE (History/Geography)

Temporary: 12 month contract with potential to extend the contract
Start Date: 27th January 2026
Application closes on: COB 17th October 2025

We require experienced, flexible teachers (FTE negotiable from 3 to 5 days per week) who can teach one or more of the subjects mentioned above for years 7 through to 12 on a 12-month contract with the potential to continue into the future.

Selection Criteria

Approval to teach one or more of the above subjects in NSW for years 7 to 12.

Experience teaching one or more of the above subjects according to NESA syllabus.

Proven experience teaching at least one of the aforementioned subject areas at an HSC (Stage 6) level.

Demonstrated subject-specific knowledge, competence and confidence, including a working familiarity with current NESA syllabus documents.

Ability to develop quality programs and assessment tasks that meet NESA requirements.

Ability to resource and deliver teaching programs effectively, providing students with opportunities to achieve realistic and challenging academic goals.

Experience teaching mixed-ability classes and catering for a diverse range of student learning needs.

Capacity to work effectively to complete tasks and meet deadlines, including providing timely and effective feedback on assessment and complying with school policies.

Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated capacity to contribute collaboratively and effectively to whole school programs and the school community.


Essential:

· Teaching qualification approved by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) including a NESA number.

· A current WWCC clearance number submitted as part of the application.

· Willingness to implement school policies, including the Assessment Policy and Discipline Roadmap.

· Commitment to the school philosophy of Education in Human Values.

· Willingness to facilitate service club and extra-curricular activity.

Desirable

· The proven ability to teach in more than one subject area.

· Competence with relevant technologies and willingness to integrate technologies into the classroom where appropriate.
