Accounts Receivable / Collections Officer – Temp Cover
Location: Glebe, near Broadway Shopping Centre
Employment Type: Temporary (1-month initial term with option to extend)
Salary: $38–$45 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role:
A respected Not-for-Profit organisation is seeking an experienced Collections Officer to provide temporary support to their finance team. This role will focus on phone-based collections, using a supportive communication style to assist clients with outstanding payments, including setting up and managing payment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct phone-based collections and manage accounts receivable.
• Assist clients with payment plans and provide supportive, professional communication.
• Raise invoices, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external clients as required.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Essential: Previous experience in phone-based collections.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a supportive approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team.
