We’re seeking an enthusiastic Intermediate Accountant with 2–4 years of experience to join our growing team.

If you’ve recently started (or are about to start) your CA program, this is your chance to fast-track your career in a supportive and dynamic environment. You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of clients and develop the skills you need to progress to the next level.

Responsibilities will include:

Preparation and lodgment of financial statements, tax returns, BAS, for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders and SMSFs

Construct and maintain working papers

Maintain clients' asset register, adjusting journals and reconciliations

Work on various consulting assignments and projects as required

Opportunity for outsourced CFO and business advisory work including management accounting, board report packs, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and succession planning

Exposure to a variety of tax matters including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a.

Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO.

Requirements

Is working toward, or has completed, CA or CPA qualifications.

2 - 4 years' experience in an Australian Chartered Accounting firm preparing financial statements, income tax returns and BAS/IAS.

Exceptional communication skills.

Experience with cloud-based accounting software including MYOB and Xero.

Exposure to a diverse range of clients and a variety of technical tax issues.
