​Flyworld Commercial Lawyers is offering an opportunity to join our team in Perth and Darwin. The firm specialises in family law, commercial law, Personal Injury Law.

Ideally, the applicant will have ​1+ years post admission experience in family law, with experience in domestic violence. Experience and preparedness to assist with ​o​ther areas of law would be a bonus.

Candidates must demonstrate experience in any family violence matter as part of their domestic violence expertise.

Experience in domestic violence matters is strongly preferred for this position.

You must be admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia with a current practicing certificate.

Candidates must have Australian work rights or be eligible for visa sponsorship.

Strong knowledge of the Family Law Act 1975 and related Commonwealth and State legislation is essential.

This is a very practical role, including you being responsible for:

​Interview clients to determine the nature of problems and recommend and undertake appropriate legal action.

Maintaining relationships with clients & providing analysis;

Preparing cases for court by conducting investigations, undertaking research, arranging witness preparation and attendance, and giving notice of court actions

Preparing and critically reviewing contracts between parties.

Providing advice on the areas of law.

Assisting and encouraging the development of objectives, strategies (marketing and sales) and plans efficient use of organisations' resources.

Undertaking and reviewing work studies by analysing existing and proposed methods and procedures such as administrative and clerical procedures​Preparing and recommending proposals to revise methods and procedures, alter workflows, redefine job functions and resolve organisational problems.

Implementing approved recommendations, issuing revised instructions and procedure manuals, and drafting other documentation

Reviewing operating procedures and advising departures from procedures and standards

Demonstrated experience appearing in Federal Circuit and Family Court matters, including interim and final hearings.

Strong preference for candidates with Federal Circuit and Family Court appearance experience for interim and final hearings.

The ideal candidate will be a talented communicator, allowing them to work autonomously to communicate with new clients, manage existing files and advise senior managers on the appropriate way in which to manage their matters, especially by proposing sensible and ethical solutions to problems.
