We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Solicitor to provide ongoing in-house legal counsel on a complex family law matter. This unique role offers the stability and focus of working closely with a company director on a complex family law matter involving custody and property settlement. Experience with child psychology matters will be an advantage.

In addition to delivering leading the case in family law proceedings, there are also opportunities for involvement in a range of commercial matters and general litigation, supporting the evolving needs of a busy finance and investment business environment.

For the right applicant, there is the possibility of progressing to an equity or partnership role as the newly established SE QLD law firm grows. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting, contributing to both the legal and strategic objectives of the company.

What We're Looking For

In-house legal services on a complex family law matter

Commitment, flexiblity, detail focused, responsiveness

Admission to practice law in Queensland with current practising certificate

Minimum 5+ (preferably 10+) years post-admission experience with substantial family law expertise

Proven track record in Family Court matters

Demonstrated ability to work both independently, support clients and take instruction

Demonstrated ability to deliver strong results on tight deadlines

High emotional and mental intelligence

Ability to conduct matters strategically and see the angles

Highly Desirable:

Queensland Law Society Family Law Specialist Accreditation

Experience with custody matters and complex property settlements

Ability to partner in or lead a firm

Commercial or property law or ligitation experience
