About the Role

This full time, fixed term role will see you provide high-level advice, project management expertise and strategic support to the Operational Communications team and the broader emergency service sector. Operating in a busy and fast-paced environment, the position plays a critical part in supporting significant change and innovation across CFA.

With a broad scope of responsibility, the role will manage a range of operational communication projects and programs from initiation through to delivery and closure. Success in the role relies on strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships both internally and externally.

You'll be part of a dynamic team where no two days are the same. The work is varied and challenging, requiring you to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities while keeping people at the centre of everything you do. Your ability to connect with stakeholders, bring them on the journey and influence outcomes will be just as important as your project management expertise.

About You

The person we are looking for with have strong expertise in operational communications and proven experience managing projects in complex, fast-paced environments. You build strong relationships and work effectively with a wide range of people.

Organised and proactive, you thrive in a busy team environment where priorities can shift quickly. You're confident juggling competing demands while improving systems and processes along the way. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, are a strength, enabling you to prepare clear and effective documents for a wide range of audiences.

You're tech-savvy, highly proficient in Microsoft Office, and bring strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience in the emergency services sector would be highly regarded.
