About the business and the role

FDS is a well respected experienced dental team providing specialist support (Oral Medicine, Minor Oral Surgery, Periodontics & Dental Implants) to general dental practices extending from Brisbane West through to Brisbane North and the Sunshine Coast. We are looking for at least two ! motivated "self starters" who wants to join our team. Our motto is "extra care" - not just for our patients - but also for our staff. We maintain a cheerful work environment with a 'team' approach to the delivery of care for our patients. The role available will involve chair side assistant duties at our Taringa, City and Strathpine "Hub" dental specialist clinics and some administration duties (mix to provide a 8 - 10 day fortnight by negotiation).

Job tasks and responsibilities

Clinical DA Taringa, City and Strathpine locations. Chair side assisting for routine perio, minor oral surgery and dental implant surgery.

Maintenance of accreditation standards for all locations - and possible supervision & training of the other DA's to help in this role.

Assist with administration duties - reception as required.

Skills and experience

Certificate III Dental Assisting preferred - but not essential. We REALLY want the right person - so experience is the essential ingredient ! Have you worked in corporate ? However want to take your skills back to a family practice - patient focussed ? we may be the “deal”.

Able to help maintain the 'high' standard of service required in an 'accredited' dental practice. Professional in presentation and manner.

Must be trained in sterilisation procedures and the concept of 'tracking' all instrumentation. Attention to detail. Or quick on the uptake and able to be trained.

Good phone skills - pleasant character and cheerful manner. A “rainmaker” who helps grow the business.

Can work well in a team environment with good communication skills. Team Captain - even better !!!

Self starter - with initiative and "keen to learn". Reliable and MOTIVATED
