ABOUT US:

The Sydney Cognitive Development Centre is a private practice in Bondi Junction (in the eastern suburbs of Sydney). This centre has been running for 19 years and has a large patient base. We treat children and adults with a wide variety of presentations, however are best well known for assessing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders like ADHD and ASD. We are looking for a psychologist/s to work alongside our team of 5 neuropsychologists to provide psychological interventions to our patients.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for psychologists or clinical psychologists who have had experience in assessing and treating children, adolescents and/or adults with emotional issues. These include mainly anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, oppositional behaviour, behavioural issues, and poor social skills. Opportunities also exist to be involved in assessment such as ASD assessment of children or adults or assessment of other psychological disorders of interest. Opportunities exist to work with children &/or adults, and we are happy to take on several practitioners who can choose to work in their areas of expertise and interest, and see the age range they are most comfortable with.

A flexible contract is being offered: Pick your days and hours, work as little or as much as you want week by week. Minimum one day (or two half days a week required). Up to FT work available too.

This role will involve working within our team, closely with our other practitioners.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

Experience in several different psychological interventions including CBT, and preferably ACT.

Parenting & family therapy skills (if working with children)

Full registration with APHRA as a psychologist

Eligibility to apply for Medicare

Working with Children Check

Strong clinical and interpersonal skills

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

Experience with children and adults with ADHD & ASD

Social skills training

Parenting skills

SALARY:

Salary will be dependent on level of experience (generally between $130-$190 per hour).
