About the Role:
We’re seeking compassionate, reliable Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support in clients’ home and the community across metro Adelaide. You’ll help people live independently, participate in their community, and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support disabled clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, mobility and meal preparation.
· Accompany clients to appointments, community and social activities, promoting participation and inclusion.
· Assist with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping and errands.
· Implement care plans/PBSPs, keep accurate progress notes, and report changes in client wellbeing.
· Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting dignity, independence, safety and choice.
· Follow medication prompts within scope and training; escalate concerns promptly.
· Maintain privacy, confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
· Participate in team communication, supervision, and ongoing training.
Role Requirements (Essential):
· Certificate III/IV or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Community Service or equivalent
· Unrestricted SA driver’s Licence and reliable insured vehicle (kilometres reimbursed)
· NDIS Worker Screening Check (SA DHS) (or ability to obtain).
· Working With Children Check (DHS) (or ability to obtain).
· Current First Aid (HLTAIDO11) & CPR certificate.
· COViD-19 vaccination in line with current health directives (evidence required)
· Manual Handling training (or willing to complete prior to start).
· Availability for rotating weekday/weekend shifts; occasional sleepover or active nights may be offered (penalty rates apply).
· Empathetic, respectful communicator; calm under pressure and solutions focused.
Desirable:
· Experience with mental health, autism, psychosocial disability, positive behaviour support, or complex needs.
· Medication support training, epilepsy/diabetes awareness, or Hoist/Assistive Tech experience.
· Basic digital literacy (progress notes, email, apps, rostering systems).

Compliance & documentation
Successful candidates will provide proof of lD/work rights, NDlS Worker Screening, WWCC, First Aid/CPR, vaccination evidence, driver's licence, vehicle insurance, and qualifications/training certificates.
