Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechatronics Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential for a future full time position. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for completing automation tasks for existing and new manufacturing equipment.

Candidates must have valid Australian work rights for this contract position.

Reporting to our Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for design, electrical and mechanical installation, PLC programming, commissioning and documentation for fixed plant at our manufacturing facility.

Required Skills:

Process evaluation and development of automated solutions

Initiative, attention to detail and accuracy in task work

Ability to work autonomously

Effective design based on safety & environmental requirements of project

Qualifications & Experience:

Mechatronic, Electrical, or Automation Engineering Degree (or relevant equivalent)

Experience in PLC based Plant Control Systems and Process Instrumentation

Omron PLC experience

Experience in manufacturing automation projects

The contract term is 6 months, but may be extended based on project requirements and longer-term opportunities. Following the initial term there may be opportunities for further terms or a full time position.
