Role Opportunity
An opportunity exists for an experienced Commissioning Electrical Engineer (CSU) to join the Pluto Train 2 LNG expansion project in Karratha on a 6-month contract. The role involves planning, leading, and executing pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities for electrical systems, ensuring delivery in line with project safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will oversee contractors, support documentation and testing processes, and provide technical input to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards. This is an excellent contract opportunity for an engineer with commissioning/startup expertise to contribute to one of Western Australia's most significant energy projects.

Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Proven commissioning/startup experience on major projects (LNG, oil & gas, or heavy industry desirable)
• Strong understanding of safety management systems, codes, and standards
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and subcontractors
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Must hold current Australian working rights (sponsorship not available)

Duties & Responsibilities
• Plan, lead, and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities
• Prepare and review technical documentation, procedures, and acceptance criteria
• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with standards and schedules
• Coordinate with contractors and disciplines to align work sequences with project plans
• Oversee testing, storage, and inspection of electrical systems
• Participate in facility/system walkdowns and testing documentation close-out
• Assist with the preparation of operations manuals
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture in all activities

About the Project
Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia. The project supports the growing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source and represents a key development in the region's energy sector.

Working Conditions
• Exposure to active construction and operations environments
• Work may involve heights, confined spaces, uneven surfaces, and variable shifts (day/night/weekend)
• Use of PPE required (respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.)
• Non-smoking site no tobacco products permitted
