About you:
CMA are seeking a forward thinking and solution oriented Site Engineer to support our growing operations in the Hunter Valley.
In this role you will be assisting in the design and delivery of complex and significant multi-disciplinary projects. You will work with a blue-chip client base and a growing workbook of high profile projects across the region.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Development and implementation of civil project plans.
• Work to the guidelines of Delta Group’s triple certified QSE management systems.
• Interpretation and interrogation of civil drawings.
• Knowledge and application of relevant Australian Standards relevant to Civil Engineering.
• Risk assessment and management civil construction methods.
• Status and tracking of civil scope, programme, method and budget.
• Accurate cost tracking and production tracking according to budget.
• Documentation development - specification review and quality assurance.
• Liaison with Site Civil Supervisor/Foreman
• Procurement and purchasing, including contract management for all projects.
• Planning, progress monitoring and reporting, including audits and/or inspections.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QSE management systems.
To succeed in this role you will have a range of skills and attributes, including:
• A Class C Drivers Licence
• Relevant construction related qualifications including tertiary degrees in engineering.
• Minimum one year experience in a similar role
• Passion for people and their safety.
• Demonstrated communication skills - verbal and written.
• High level decision making and problem-solving skills
• Proven capacity to multi-task.
• High level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up.
• Strong communication and inter-personnel skills
• Computer literate with typing speed and accuracy
