Heavy Engine Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Engine Technician to join our client in Fairfield. This role focusses on the servicing, overhaul, and reconditioning of large industrial 4-stroke diesel engines and associated equipment. It's ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a background in heavy diesel or industrial engine work.

Your new role

• Overhaul and recondition large diesel engines and sub-assemblies
• Clean, paint, and maintain engine components and workshop areas
• Collaborate with Technical Support Engineer and Leading Hand
• Complete service reports, timesheets, and documentation accurately
• Comply with manufacturer and company service standards
• Participate in toolbox and pre-start meetings
• Maintain technical knowledge and assist in training junior staff

What you'll need to succeed

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering Fitting
• Hands-on experience in industrial engine servicing
• Safety-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and communication
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence (Forklift Licence a plus)
