Child Contact Service: Coordinator
Part time: 30 hours per week/ 4 days per week. Hours and days can be negotiated
Covering staff and operations in Mandurah, Fremantle, Gosnells and Midland, this role requires travel. You will based in one of these locations, depending on where the successful candidate is located.

About the role
We are offering a permanent position for the role of Coordinator of our Child Contact Service program, of which we have 4 locations. The Child Contact Service provides changeover and supervised contact services for separated parents who are in conflict or when there are parenting concerns. We work with families to foster safe and positive interaction between children and their parents, and to strengthen these relationships.
Reporting to the Manager, you will create and maintain a safe and child-focused environment whilst coordinating the clinical and administrative work of the Child Contact Services. This position involves providing guidance and support to a team of permanent and casual staff, mainly providing consultation on and assessing client suitability and risk.
The current vacancy is 60 hours per fortnight.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
Essential
- Tertiary Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, counselling or Social Sciences
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and families
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Knowledge and skills in working with clients with challenging behaviours
- Knowledge and skills in managing risk
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of Family Law and/ or issues around separated families including children’s contact issues
- Knowledge and understanding of family domestic violence
- Knowledge and understanding of child abuse and protection issues
