Barnardos Australia is seeking a dedicated Case Managers to join our OOHC team team in Wyong, 2259. This is a opportunity to be part of a values-led organisation committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

We have roles available in our Adoptions, Permanent Care, and Temporary Family Care teams. The TFC program offers a 12-month contract, with permanent opportunities available in our Permanent Care and Adoptions teams.

About the Role
As a Case Manager, you will:

• Build relationships and connections with children, young people, parents, extended family and carers that are strengths based, support capacity building and transparent.
• Be proactive, and engagement driven in a manner to deliver case plan goals in partnership children and their families.
• Work with parents and extended family will be collaborative, empathic, transparent and focused on building capacity.
• Develop, implement and review of plans for each child in care. Ensure plans reflect the principles of permanency planning, Aboriginal placement principles and participation, along with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
  Planning, supervising and coaching parents and others in family time, and other interactions, to build parenting skills and capacity.
  Utilising Barnardos electronic case management systems and tools in all planning and documenting of interventions with children, families and carers.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services that uphold child safety, cultural safety, and family-led practice.

Skills and Experience :

• Tertiary degree level qualification in a Human Services or related field or significant experience in the sector demonstrating relevant knowledge and skills for the role.
• Knowledge of child development and childhood developmental trauma.
• Knowledge of parenting support and capacity building.
• Demonstrated experience of working with children, young people and families in a child protection or OOHC context.
• Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, including a strong understanding of cultural safety, self-determination, and the historical and contemporary factors that impact Aboriginal peoples.

What’s on Offer:

• Base salary: $76,387 – $91,282 per annum (pro rata, if applicable) + 12% superannuation
• Salary packaging: Up to $15,860 tax-free (general living expenses)
• Meal & entertainment packaging: Additional $2,650 tax-free per FBT year
