About Us

R & C Express is a parcel-delivery contractor based in NSW 2100. Each morning we receive bulk consignments from our client and complete same-day last-mile distribution across assigned routes, operating under strict service levels, KPIs, and safety standards.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Supply and Distribution Manager to plan, organise, direct, and coordinate the end-to-end flow of parcels under our custody, from depot reception to last-mile delivery. The role is responsible for route and capacity planning, depot workflow, exception handling (returns and misplacements), and the performance of a multi-site delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

Plan daily and weekly capacity, volumes and driver allocations to meet client KPIs and service standards.

Design and optimise routes, driver assignments, and parcel waves to achieve efficiency.

Oversee depot reception, parcel flow, scanning accuracy, and chain-of-custody for same-day deliveries.

Manage exceptions including returns, misplacements, and customer complaints.

Lead, coach, and roster delivery staff and sorters; oversee recruitment, onboarding, and inductions.

Monitor and report on client KPIs (ETA accuracy, scan compliance, damages, safety).

Administer contract obligations with the client and escalate service issues when required.

Plan and manage labour costs and depot productivity, driving continuous improvement.

Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS), Chain of Responsibility, and fatigue management requirements.

Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), toolbox talks, and corrective actions to support safe and compliant operations.

Skills & Qualifications

Relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification.

At least three years of proven experience in supply, depot, or distribution management.

Experience in route planning, workforce allocation, and KPI compliance in a high-volume environment.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

Ideal but not mandatory: the ability to communicate in Spanish, which is a plus in a multicultural workforce.
