The Role

Nine month fixed term contract, reporting to the Finance Manager, the Assistant Accountant provides accurate and timely financial data and supports the finance functions to ensure strategic alliance and strong financial health of the company. Other duties are as follows.

• Prepare and follow up on weekly reports
• Engage with the business and AP Shared Services Team for workflow coordination and invoices processing, bank reconciliations and allocations
• Stakeholder management
• Accounts payable duties
• Weekly employee reimbursementsPerform monthly recharges, prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and analytics
• Handle credit card journals and reconciliation
• Manage parts accounting and reporting
• Perform monthly and quarterly warranty reconciliations
• Submit Payment Times Reports to the government semi-annually
• Provide updates on stocktake
• Participate in year-end tasks
• Work closely with stakeholders an annual audit

The Person

An experienced Assistant Accountant. Having worked in a large, complex organisation, you will demonstrate your ability to work across various functions in the business. Excellent communication skills will see you partner with internal and external stakeholders effectively. You must be able to multi-task as this position has a variety of responsibilities which will keep you challenged and motivated. Ideally you will have experience with SAP or other related ERP system and Advanced Excel.
