The Company
Biortica Agrimed is the parent company of one of Australia’s largest medicinal cannabis cultivators located in South-eastern Victoria (approximately an hour from the city) and an office on Collins Street in the Melbourne CBD and is rapidly growing the team to meet current customer demands as well as a rapid business growth strategy.

The Role
Reporting to the CFO & Senior Finance Manager, the role will be responsible for the transactional processing, daily and monthly reconciliations and timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. This position has been established to provide support to the finance function in the preparation and reporting of financial information. Specifically, your role will involve:

Month end procedures.

Weekly analysis of business performance.

Accounts payable, Accounts receivable

Reconciliation of General Ledger accounts.

Assist with BAS, FBT and ITR

Assists with Annual and Half yearly audits.

Maintaining the fixed asset register and capital works in progress.

Adding value to business performance through financial analysis and identifying areas of improvement.

Managing credit cards and reimbursements

Overview of cash flow forecasting monthly.

Assistance with project-specific budgeting, forecasting and cost to complete financial models

Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time that assist effective and efficient business operations.

Provide leadership and guidance to all employees in relation to deadlines and financial procedures

Liaise with External Accountants, Insurances and financiers as and when required.

The Candidate
Relevant university education at bachelor degree level or equivalent experience, including completion of CPA/CA or working towards completion.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines

3 to 5 years in a similar role

Advanced excel skills

Provide intelligent problem-solving, in a team environment.

Knowledge of Xero and Quickbooks Accounting Software

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Understanding of related highly regulated industries, horticultural industries and manufacturing experience is highly regarded.
