Hunter Valley Modular Homes is an experienced and reputable modular homebuilder servicing Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Mid-North Coast and Central Coast, specialising in projects that are beyond your standard project home. We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Carpenter to join our On-site Construction Team working mostly in the Hunter Valley area, however occasional overnight work away from home across NSW is required.

This role will involve (but is not limited to):

Interpretation of construction plans.

Supervise apprentices and assist with on-the-job training.

Scheduling of onsite trades and material deliveries.

Ordering of materials and quoting of works.

Understand and apply quality control techniques to works and materials.

Building surrounds, decks, landings, ramps, steps, carports, and garages attached to modular homes

General carpentry work associated with internal fix out, external completion and complexing modular homes together.

General labouring

Service and maintenance on completed homes

You will have:

Quality interpersonal skills with ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and contractors to build and maintain strong working relationships.

Ability to work effectively autonomously and as part of a high-performing team.

Excellent communication skills.

Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.

Ability to identify and problem solve issues in a timely matter.

Experience in diverse use of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction

Ability to read technical documents and drawings

Willingness to follow workplace health and safety guidelines at all times

An eye for detail and the ability to work at a low margin of error

The successful candidate will:

Possess a current OHS White Card

Be a permanent resident of Australia

Trade qualified with relevant practical experience

Minimum 3-5 years of carpentry experience

Hold Certificate III Carpentry qualification

NSW unrestricted driver's license with satisfactory driving record
