The Role Our client, Victoria Heart, is a premier provider of specialist cardiac services across Melbourne. With 5 star google reviews, this outstanding practice is leading the way in heart health. We are now seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to lead the next phase of growth for this highly regarded practice. Reporting to the Directors, this is a high-impact, autonomous role suited to a proven leader with strong financial acumen, proven healthcare experience, and a passion for innovation.

You will be the heartbeat of their operations and the catalyst behind the expansion, with a clear mandate to drive strategic growth by opening new locations, introducing cutting-edge services like CT coronary angiography, and integrating AI-driven systems.
What You'll Do

• Be the Visionary: Develop and implement strategies that not only grow their practice but also expand our impact across Victoria.
• Be the Strategist: Oversee all practice operations—from financial performance and HR to compliance and business development—ensuring every piece works together seamlessly.
• Be the Innovator: Lead the charge on exciting projects, including new clinic openings and the integration of advanced technologies and services.
• Be the Collaborator: Forge strong partnerships with hospitals, GPs, and referral networks to strengthen their position as a leader in cardiac care.

About You You are a proactive and experienced leader with a proven track record of managing and growing healthcare practices. With at least 5 years in a senior management role—ideally within a specialist medical, primary or allied health setting, you also bring a solid foundation in business acumen, financial literacy, technology/AI confidence and operational excellence.

Your qualifications may include formal qualifications in business, HR or healthcare management, but your demonstrated experience in driving operational performance and leading high-performing teams is what truly sets you apart. You are a passionate, solutions-focused individual who thrives on the challenge of a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will also have:

• Proven leadership in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
• Proficiency in Genie Practice Management Software and Xero
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong experience with budgets, reporting, payroll, and compliance
• Ability to lead HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and performance reviews
• Deep knowledge of compliance and accreditation processes
• Experience developing and implementing marketing and growth strategies
• A forward-thinking, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail

The Offer The role is offered as a permanent full-time position with a very attractive salary package of between $130k-$150k + super depending on experience. The position requires an onsite presence at both Windsor & East Melbourne rooms.
