About the Role:
Wonderful Mind is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered/Clinical Psychologist to join our growing team. This position focuses on providing high-quality paediatric intervention and assessment services, working under the supervision of our experienced Clinical Psychologist and Head of Psychology Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic setting.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children with a range of developmental, emotional, and behavioural concerns.
* Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings and best practice guidelines.
* Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and their families.
* Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, allied health professionals, and medical practitioners.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
* Participate in regular supervision meetings and professional development activities.
* Contribute to the overall positive and collaborative team environment at Wonderful Mind.
Essential Criteria:
* Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated experience working with children and families.
* Strong skills in psychological assessment and intervention.
* Knowledge of evidence-based practices for child mental health.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to ethical practice and professional development.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in specific areas of paediatric psychology (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety).
* Training in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, play and creative therapy).
* Experience working in a private practice setting.
* ADOS Assessment certification
