About the Role:
We’re seeking a Caseworker to support children, young people, and carers in foster care. You’ll work closely with families, carers, and agencies to ensure children receive safe, stable, and positive care experiences.
The role combines case management, administrative responsibilities, and face-to-face visits with children and carers. No two days will look the same as you provide practical support, advocacy, and guidance.

- Pay rates from $38.65 – $41.45 (SCHAD’s Award Level 3, based on experience/qualifications)
Duties:
Manage a caseload of children and young people in foster care
Work directly with carers, families, and government agencies
Conduct home visits and provide ongoing support to children and carers
Write case notes, reports, and maintain accurate records
Advocate for the rights and wellbeing of children in care
Balance administrative tasks with face-to-face client engagement
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Experience in Out of Home Care or a similar role
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent written skills for reports and documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Resilient, adaptable, and flexible to work non-standard hours
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
Current Australian Driver’s Licence
Desirable:
Qualifications in Social Work, Community Services, or related field
Broader experience working with children, families, or community support services
