About the Role

They build awareness across the Australian trades community through a variety of initiatives - which encourage those trades business owners interested in exploring the training program to register for and attend one of their many (free) online and in-person workshops. These workshops are informative and eye-opening - detailing common business bottlenecks and a clear path to sustainable growth backed by decades of testimonials.

Currently, 60%-70% of workshop attendees join the program (at some stage).

As Business Development Representative, you'll provide a red carpet experience - conducting “Welcome in Advance” calls to establish rapport (as the company's first point of contact), to learn more about workshop registrants (current business pains and goals) and post-workshop calls to gather feedback and schedule the final step in their new client onboarding process (with their Head of Sales), if appropriate. You'll also follow up inbound leads and past contacts.

You can expect to manage roughly 600 leads at any given time (via HubSpot) - connecting with 20+ prospects per day (from up to 100 outbound calls - all call lists are provided), resulting in 10-15 qualified appointments per week.

This is an established role, with proven structure and excellent training. You'll be supported by and work closely alongside their Head of Sales & Partnerships and the rest of their Mulgrave, VIC-based team.

In time, with success, there's scope to advance within the business, if desired, and/or help drive their upcoming expansion into the US and UK.

About You

You bring 10+ years professional experience with at least 2+ years in an outbound, high-volume, phone based sales and/or customer service role - e.g. call centre based telemarketing, customer support, etc.

A background selling to trades business owners or exposure to the trades sector is advantageous.

Intangibly, you're professional, empathetic, have high emotional intelligence / awareness, are an active listener and a confident / persuasive communicator - capable of creating honest, open dialogue with business owners.

You are energetic and self-motivated, extremely comfortable making up to 100 outbound calls per day (Monday to Friday, office-based), are resilient (can push through the no's to find the yes's), are competitive and target-driven and enthusiastic about contributing to business growth.

Most importantly, you're genuinely motivated to make a positive contribution to the local trades community and a direct/significant impact on the lives of many therein.
