Campus Environments (CET) provides a responsive, integrated and customer-orientated service that supports the physical environments for students and staff, aiding their teaching, learning, research and administrative needs. Our purpose is to provide fit-for-purpose and innovative planning and delivery services that contribute to the success of ECU, as a vibrant and progressive University.

Campus Environments principally comprises of Facilities Maintenance, Projects, Planning, and Campus services. The Buildings Projects and Planning team works in consultation with stakeholders to deliver building and maintenance programs and projects across the University. Responsible for whole project lifecycle including scoping, master planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution and handover.

About the Opportunity

You will play a pivotal part in coordinating the day-to-day operations of the City Campus Loading Dock and supporting the City Campus Facilities Manager. This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the ECU City Campus Loading Dock. The role ensures that all loading dock logistics are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with legislative requirements. It also supports the functional needs of Schools and Centre’s, ensuring smooth coordination and operational effectiveness across campus services.

Skills & Experience

  • A qualification in logistics (or a relevant similar discipline) or a level of expertise gained from a combination of experience and/or training.
  • Extensive experience in loading dock operations and general logistics within building or venue environments.
  • Proficient in scheduling and various relevant software applications, including the Microsoft Suite in particular Microsoft 365.
  • Holds a current Traffic Control Ticket (TC)
  • Holds a current ticket in Fork Lift license (LF)
  • Strong safety focus and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong customer service and people skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
