Are you an experienced Buyer or Category Manager with a background in supermarket retail and a strong understanding of merchandise planning? This growing retail group is offering a rare opportunity to take on a broad and dynamic role within a collaborative team environment.

Working closely with two experienced colleagues, you'll be part of a supportive buying team of three - not a stand-alone position. This is a role where your input matters and where you'll be empowered to take ownership of your categories while continuing to grow your career.

About the Role

• Manage a wide range of categories across a successful supermarket group
• Take ownership of supplier relationships, pricing, promotional planning, and terms
• Use data and insights to drive merchandising decisions and improve performance
• Collaborate with store managers and the marketing team to align commercial and operational goals
• Contribute to a business undergoing expansion and continuous improvement
• Be part of a team of three, with shared responsibilities and support

About You

• Experience in a supermarket buying or category management role is essential
• Strong commercial skills and negotiation ability
• Exposure to or understanding of merchandise planning
• Hands-on, analytical, and confident working in a fast-paced retail environment
• Excellent communication and supplier management skills
