As an Assisted Travel Support Officer (ATSO) you will provide support to students who have high level behaviour support needs or heath care medical needs.

An ATSO's role includes assisting schools and contractors/drivers in;

Providing additional supervision for students when accessing and traveling to and from school.

Liaising with school principals in regards to specific student requirement and behaviour management plans

Supporting students with assistive equipment

Applicants must have;

Good communication skills

Ability to provide supervision to students with special needs

Ability to participate in ongoing training

Ability to work collaboratively

A current working with children check (Employment)

A positive attitude towards life, family and friends

Be astute to risk management and safety

This position would suit someone who:

Wants to work 2 to 4 hours per day

Has the availability to work split shifts

Enjoys working with children

Retired, community-minded and/or ex-health professional who wants to make a difference to the lives of special needs children by contributing to our community
