THE ROLE
Educational Assistants (EA) play a critical role within the College, which demands a high level of commitment, experience, and interpersonal skills. The primary responsibility is to provide support to classroom teachers and other staff members in addressing the diverse learning needs of students. EA's serve as a resource for teachers in designing and implementing instructional strategies that maximise student achievement and success.
This role is instrumental in promoting inclusion and supporting the learning of all students, including those with special needs, and students with other challenges that may impact their learning. EA's work closely with classroom teachers to monitor student progress, identify learning gaps, and facilitate targeted interventions that enhance students' learning and progress.
To be successful in this role, you should possess strong advocacy of inclusive practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an understanding of diverse learning needs, and a profound knowledge of evidence-based practices and trends in learning support services.
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one year of experience in supporting students in a classroom environment, with Special Educational Needs and Additional Learning Needs.
