Robert Walters is currently partnering with a leading government entity which is looking for a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. You will be managing a large portfolio of construction projects and oversee a team of Procurement Specialists who are working on the specific projects.

• Sydney CBD
• 12mth initial contract
• Pays up to $1,200 a day + super

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a team of procurement staff including work allocation, capability development and performance management
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process with input from the procurement cross-function team
• Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments
• Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies
• Coordinate the formulation of commercial risk profiles and contribute to the development and on-going maintenance of a comprehensive probity management plan
• Develop tender evaluation methodology with input from the procurement cross-functional team and manage the tender process
• Prepare contracts with input from the procurement cross-functional teams and manage the award and execution of contracts, facilitating contract handover activities to the program/project team and the commercial team.
• Coordinate the development and on-going maintenance of comprehensive supplier performance management plans

About you:

• Tertiary qualifications in Procurement or another relevant field
• Strong experience across construction / facilities management procurement
• Proven experience managing portfolios of multiple construction projects within a commercial environment
• Extensive experience negotiating & influencing
• Excellent communication & engagement skills
