Our NSW Government client are hiring for two highly capable Senior Technology Project Managers to join the organisation. Candidates must be able to work across an array of different project streams and are also required to be able to deliver for wider business capability projects, so working across functional aspects of a PM role too.

Candidates in Regional NSW (Excluding from Newcastle down to Batemans Bay, as well as the Blue Mountains, Sydney, Wollongong and the ACT) are preferred.

This role will not have any direct reports.

Role Title: Senior Technology Project Managers

Contract Duration: 9 Month initial contract

Daily Pay: $1,100 to $1,200 Inclusive of Super per day.

Location: Candidates are required to be located in Regional NSW, with the role allowing for remote work to a high pre-dominance. Occasional site visits and workshops can require attendance in office.

Key accountabilities/competencies:

• Ensure all outputs and activities of specialists and teams are meeting governance, quality and organisational standards.
• Manage highly complex technology-based changes based on the organisational technology roadmap.
• Manage all aspects of technology changes based on eTech ITIL Change and Release standards, using the appropriate System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including adherence to project and program governance standards
• Lead technology change specialists and teams to deliver within mandated timeframes and quality.
• Responsible for the initial estimation, submission for approval, baselining and management of technology change financial budgets and schedules.
• Manage and deliver regular executive level status reporting on technology change related milestones, risks, issues, mitigations, constraints, dependencies, budgets and schedules
• Responsible and accountable for building a collaborative approach for technology changes with impacted internal and external stakeholders, ensuring communications, training and associated change interdependencies are managed
• Lead technology procurement tasks based on organisational Procurement Guidelines to ensure best value for money and service standards.
• Manage third party vendors to ensure delivery of services/products to standards and time frames acceptable to Essential Energy.

Skills and Experience required:

• Bachelor of Information Technology or equivalent qualification or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience in managing diverse specialist technical teams in an Information Technology and Corporate environment.
• Extensive experience managing complex technical change tasks, projects and/or programmes of work including within large enterprises, both in Corporate and Information Technology.
• Developing and collating performance reporting which is meaningful to executive stakeholders and other relevant parties.
• High level interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes in an organisation with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a changing environment.
• It is desirable to have Project/Programme Management Certifications e.g. Prince2, PMBOK, MSP
• It is desirable to have technical Change management Certifications e.g. ITIL, Agile, SDLC.
• Candidates with Project Management experience in the IT/OT cybersecurity experience or Advanced Distribution Management Systems are strongly encouraged to apply.
